🌿 Curry Leaf Plant
The Curry Leaf Plant (Murraya koenigii) is a fragrant, evergreen herb native to India and widely used in South Asian cooking. It produces aromatic leaves that are essential in curries and chutneys. This low-maintenance plant grows well in pots or gardens and adds a tropical touch to any space.
☀️ Light Requirements
• Prefers full sunlight for 5–6 hours daily.
• Can tolerate partial shade but may grow slower.
🌱 Soil
• Requires well-draining soil (a mix of garden soil, compost, and sand is ideal).
• Slightly acidic to neutral pH is best.
💧 Watering Tips
• Summer: Water every 2–3 days or when the topsoil feels dry.
• Winter: Reduce watering to once every 5–7 days.
• Note: Avoid overwatering. Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out before watering again.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
• Thrives in warm temperatures (20–35°C).
• Protect from frost and cold drafts during winters.
🌿 Pruning & Fertilizing
• Prune regularly to encourage bushy growth.
• Use organic compost or vermicompost once a month during the growing season (spring to early autumn).
